San Francisco 1) The hilliest street in the country 2) many one-way streets which could be blocked off 3) For a city that size there is a low pedestrian-to-vehicle ratio 4) The Castro Village area has a perfect layout for such a race. My two year old Golden Retriever absolutely loves it and can get up to 17.5 mph when chasing squirrels but cruises at about 8 or so. Unless the temperature is 50 or less with low humidity you have to be very careful not to overheat her, and in summer I only take her out in very early morning. We stop for rests at any distance over a mile and take along cool water as well. On really cold days she can go quite a way. Another thing to watch out for is that, especially downhill, it is quite possible for the trike to move faster than she can run. The big advantage of the rig is that she can go for a run at what is a natural speed for her. (I can't run a 3.5 minute mile.)
