Losing over half of your body weight to win a national television show? It's safe to say Jeremy Britt is an extraordinary guy. A Rockford Michigan native, he participated in NBC's show, "The Biggest Loser" along with his sister Conda. He weighed in at 389 lbs and lost a total of 199 lbs over the course of the show.
Through each rigorous challenge and competitive weigh-in, Jeremy "kept his eye on the prize," working non-stop to find his place as The Biggest Loser of 2012.
In a press call for national media following his big win, however, Jeremy admitted a fear: that he'd gain back all of the weight he'd lost. "Absolutely," he said. "You're an idiot not to worry about that." He stated he planned to keep up his active live and strict diet, and that maintaining the weight loss would be "a battle I'm happy to take on."
In July of 2012, Jeremy came to TerraTrike and was fitted for a Rambler Base. Like so many new TerraTrikers, Jeremy couldn't help but notice the huge difference from riding an upright bike. "My Rambler is extremely comfortable and easy to ride. And even though the bike looks complex, it's easy to adjust." Because of this, Jeremy feels it will be his easiest method of keeping his weight in check.
"I haven't riden a bike since I was a kid - since I've had my driver's liscense, and I don't remember it being this fun! The trike will fit perfectly in my plans to stay active and keep a healthy lifestyle. Even when I'm sore after running or weight-lifting, I can still ride the trike because it's so comfortable. Plus, it's still a really great workout!"
You can catch Jeremy riding the White Pine Trail in West Michigan with his baby daughter in the a trailer behind his Rambler.
