I finally got the house set up enough that I was able to go out for a ride. I went a block over to a street where sidewalks are available but found it was easier riding in the street. The speed limit is only 25 mph and the streets are a combination of asphalt and pea rock. On many, the rock shows more than the asphalt. But, it didn't slow me down much. I was getting near 10 mph on the straights but had to stop for about 5 stop signs which will never give me a great overall speed. It was an easy ride to the house my son is purchasing.
I need to get back in riding shape then I will try riding on Santa Rosa Island through the Gulf Island National Seashore roads. Look it up. That should be a beautiful ride!
