  • This trail is on our list of "must-go" places to ride. It would be a 4-day drive for us, so might be cheaper for us to fly, lol. That is such a beautiful place.

Roger was hinting on maybe going up next year, asked if I was interested. Hoping I can save up the big bucks as not been up that way in quite a few years decades.

  • Other than bike/trike rental and motel rooms, what costs are there for going on the trail? Is there an entrance fee, and what do the bus rides back to the car cost? We were hoping for something maybe more medium bucks, lol.
  • Looks affordable, with family and group rates. :)

  • What a great site. Rentals, trail pass and shuttle aren't bad at all. Thanks for the link.

Tim, do you have a vehicle with a receiver hitch? An Alpaca Carrier can carry a trike and a DF at the same time. I have done it. Here's a picture of mine.4ts0afpmltzz.jpg

Nice hitch rack. Where do you find these and how much? My truck has a hitch and were're thinking about putting one on my wife's van.
  • They are $400 on the terra trike website. The two extra yellow bars on the other side or an additional cost. You can go to alpaca carriers.com and see all the prices.
  • Yikes! Those are some really nice racks, but you sure do pay for them, lol.

I'd do this trail before Hiawatha. The coeur d'alene is 72 miles of paved bliss and very moderate grades. Actually we are doing it around June next year. ed
