SL Over 35 MPH

edited August 2010 in Legacy Products

Diggin my SL, but I seem to have hit a wall. I get nervous traveling over 35 with the direct steering. A little road noise and I find myself in another lane. It's taken me months to feel comfortable at 35 ( daily commuter ).

Any ideas on how to smooth out the steering at higher speeds? I'd like to be comfortable at 40-45mph.

I'm not crazy strong - just live in a hilly area. I find myself constantly going up hill at 6mph or down at 30+mph. The rear is super stable even when rolling over large objects. I wonder if some sort of shocks could be placed on the front tires to handle the road noise.

Tip: Local BMX Shops carry the schwabble tires and racing tubes.

  • I was talking to some of the guys and they said that over time (I know you've had it for a couple months) you will get more used to the speed and handling at high speeds. Be one with your trike! We don't offer shocks.

  • You might send an email to Ashley at Utah Trikes. I know he's had his Edge up close to 65 MPH......not that I would recommend that. :)
