Question about Ragster sandals

edited September 2011 in Accessories
Okay, for those of us with big feet....

I wear a Shimano size 49 (size 13 in Human), and the Ragsters appear to top out at size 48. Just how true is the fit on these sandals? If I have on two pairs of wool socks and a wind bootee, am I going to run out of length?

I haven't found a pair locally, but haven't tried that hard yet.

They are actually a bit oversized. I wear a size 13 and got the largest Ragster2 ( 47-48) , and I probably could have fitted in one smaller size, although they do fit, but the straps on the back are all the way closed.
  • Thanks, Bob. That's what I needed to know.
  • I wear a size 12EEEE. I have a really hard time finding any kind of shoe that is wide enough for me. I love my Ragsters. I wear them with 2 pair of socks all the time.

See the photos below, and see where my straps are at. They are not tight on me (how I like them) - hope this helps

  • Do any of you ragster owners use cleats? If so, can you post a photo or two of the cleats attached to the sandal?
  • I use cleats - will try to post one tomorrow?

On the sandals, the area a cleat goes is covered completely when you first get them, if you want to use cleats, you must first cut out this 'chunk', then you have room for the cleats.

As an FYI? I started out with Crank Brothers cheapies, and liked them so much that I upgraded to the CB Mallet II pedals. As with most CB pedals, you can buy rebuild kits, so you really need not replace your pedals again (in most cases).

  • I have orthotics for my shoes. How high is the arch in the sandal? The arch is where I need help.

    Thanks,
