More and more people each year are discovering how Triking is a fun, easy, emission-free way to keep fit. TerraTrikes offer a great view of the scenery and an immediate relief from the aches and pains of traditional bicycles.
They are great at replacing your car on short trips while laughing at gas prices. They are well respected in traffic due to their curious shape, and they are easy to transport on traditional bike racks or on a TerraTrike specific hitch rack. TerraTrikes have a comfort level and a cool factor that cannot be denied. Treat yourself to a test ride today, and be part of the solution.
What is the system called that the mirror uses to tighten to the inside of a tube? I want to use it for a tube to hold that to my handle bar. Does it have a name? Do I just find the pieces myself? Thanks for any info.
Saw an extension kit for $10 but no
picture. I need a foot extension to raise it to see over my shoulder. Wonder if I can drill thru a dowel and keep it centered???
Better yet, I have some alum tubing that will fit between base and top of mirror. Just need to find a l-o-n-g bolt
that matches the stubby that came with
the kit. Probably metric.
I have just a short extension on my mirror and it greatly increased the mirror motion due to road vibration.
Can you see anything using a 9 inch extension? Isn't it all just a blur? Gordon
Trike is inside now. Don’t see us riding anymore this winter. We rode
last Sunday, the 3rd, the day the mirror arrived. Had to pivot left shoulder
inland to see behind me. We rode boardwalks along the Lake so everything
shook. Mirror was still down below. Don’t remember how it shook during
that short ride.
I wanted a mirror near eye level. Just
a glance instead of turning the head.
After all, we are racing at a closing speed of close to 8 mph. At that speed,
safety is Priority One.
With those periscopes, just think of the additional riding opportunities. On a hot summer day just find a lake and ride in three feet of water with just your head and mirrors above water. What an awesome cool down. :-)
Few years ago in a df magazine, there was an ad for an up n coming
camera system with the cam mounted under the seat aimed back. The display
if I remember( not much anymore) was
some eyewear. It was going to be several hundred. A vehicle aftermarket back up cam could work with a power

Made it to the 75’ depth from the south side, paddling out from the park. Turned back at that point. We did it last year just prior to Labor Day. Hot out. It was a killer to put those Kokatat suits on. Water temp was 70 at the beach and even out at the turn around spot, again, around 70 fow. Choppier water that day. Here’s Vicki on her yak.

I looked up on Mirrycle's website and found that the parts are called a long bolt, wedge, and barrel nut. Here are the instructions on how to put one together.
