  • Chonk. I know you question what I say about a design flaw, but no other bike company uses a stress gusset like the one on the old Rover cruciform. Neither will you see a gusset welded (across the end of the gusset) on a round tube on any other major…
  • Happened again, to the replacement unit. Not as bad because I looked sooner and found the crack.
  • I know what you mean on the load but... Two plastic fenders, a water bottle holder and water, a 12 volt battery from a cordless drill to make my auto alarm siren sound when I need a horn (this works great!! I's loud!) So, I might have added 10 pound…
  • https://www.flickr.com/photos/149045049@N02/shares/jP9154 These, if they work, show the gusset and where the screwdriver is pointing is where you look for cracks. The end of this gusset is where our tandem started cracking and the one side cracked h…
  • See my first post for why I believe it is an issue. If it had failed completely while crusing at 10 plus miles per hour... wouldn't have been pretty! I feel like Terra Trikes are well designed and I don't want to give them the proverbial "black eye"…
  • I installed a set of the fenders as described earlier in this post on my tandem. (The ones gern came up with.) They work as well on it as on my Rambler!! I really like them and after a shakedown ride I tightened thing up. They stay right where I wan…
  • Just as a further comment. The Rambler is a completely different design. I have a rambler and there are no issues with it.
  • This is where the round tube connect to the square tube at the center of the cruciform. As to pics... sorry. I deleted them ready, but like I said, the crack on the left side was half way around the round tube "axle" and the right side was just star…
  • I went to the LBS for the heavy duty rim for the rear of my tandem. It is a 36 spoke rim with thicker spokes. Cost was around half of the price of a rim from TT but it sure is better quality. I would check with the LBS before ordering from TT becaus…
  • I went to a 26"and then, using the Terratrike made axle set back pieces, went to a 29" rear wheel. Like Trikesterhal says, I lost some low end, but the 24 speed has more than enough low end. I really like what I did but I have the 24 speed. If you h…
  • Thank you jamesr. I hadn't thought of that need to adjust the toe-in that way. I just figured the LBS would have done it right. I do have the factory tires on the front yet, but on the tandem I will not get anywhere close to the 2000 plus miles I ha…
  • If the tandem is set up "as factory" I don't think it matters where the heavier person sits. I am heavier of course, and ride the captain position all the time, mostly because my wife doesn't want the responsibility of being captain. As to how the f…
  • So far we are running the factory tires on the tandem. I do have Slime filled extra thick tubes in the tires and run them between 50 and 60 PSI. Yeah, I know, too high pressure, but it works fine! We Really like the Tandem! I only wish my financial …
  • I have a Tandem Rover and the tandem is rather clumsy. However, I think (but I can't prove) that two people moving the tandem is easier than each on a separate trike. Wife and I ride about 100 miles a week on it. We live in Dodge city KS (relocated …
  • They will. And they may give you less rolling resistance too.
  • I like my Rambler. As to big guys, I'm 6'0"and 275 so... Big guys can ride too. I am "pushing" 53 years old, but when I think of what I was in 2011... 478 pounds... I didn't lose all of this weight riding a trike... I rode a two-wheeler and did a di…

  • My thoughts exactly, Florida bound! Ride often and enjoy. My sympathies on the wind, I know how that can be. I live in Kansas. We went out and rode 10.5 miles tonight. Both Clara and I loved every minute of it! Average speed over the total was 8.7 …

  • So... How does it work to register a trike with TT. I can't get the website to work when I try. I haven't been able to register my Rambler and now I/ we have a tandem... We put the tandem on the street this evening for a short ride. It is mre fun th…

  • Hahaha . But yeh....
  • Mercy guys. This has gone downhill fast. )
  • My clip less have given me the advantage of pulling with one foot and pushing with the other. I mostly do the push pull on takeoff or going up hill. Crushing it don't use the pull as mush. The biggest advantage is I don't worry about leg suck anymore
  • What actually are clip less ? I have a pair of Shimano pedals that require clipping in, and a twist to get out of. So...are these clip less or clip in? i know what you mean by regular shoes but... Could someone help me with the others? Thanks. Daniel
  • TrikesterHal. I agree... When in doubt ride! I do like you do, check the wind direction and ride against wind when I'm starting. And here in south central Kansas the wind blows... Almost always. Tomorrow it is forecast to be 23-25 MPH with higher gu…
  • These are great! They work really well!

  • Page 2 of the general discussion forum has a title Easy front fenders. These work really well, I have over 1000 miles on my Rambler since installing them. They would fit up to a 26 inch wheel. Order the parts as listed, but I did order a different m…

  • Rid em Trikers! I rode in 20 mile per hour north wind and 24 degrees today, Not a long ride (4 miles) but I rode!
  • Layers are the answer! I was out this afternoon. It was 25 degrees with a twenty mile per hour wind! I had thermal underwear, a long sleeve shirt, my arm warmers, a wind breaker, and a lime green safety jacket on. I was quite comfortable. Also a lim…
  • You all make me jealous!!! Right now I am in Huetamo de Nunez in the Mexican state of Michoacan. I'v lived in this town for 9 years of my life, 6 of which were when I was a child. I had to leave the Rambles home because... Well, lots of distance, do…
  • I don't know if Runtastic apps work with the I watch, but I like their apps the best of any I have tried. Roadbike pro is the one I use. Paid for the pro version and use it every day. You can try the free version first and see how you like it.
  • I think the front would raise 1.5 - 2 inches. Maybe more. Since I didn't try the drop out extensions with a 20 inch I can't say for sure.
