Not much time for riding, and too cold to use stationary trainer. Had a bad bug for a month or so, busy otherwise with two jobs. Picked up playing the Mandolin most of the winter, playing in two different groups and genres. Not sure where or how am going to be able to store a Weber Y2K mandolin on the Rover when the good weather returns. Sure do miss riding! Was going to go out a couple of different times when it did warm up. Think we had a few days of snow; mostly rain, high winds; and chilly weather. Rover has been in its enclosure all winter long, although I have the enclosure boarded up with plastic sheeting on the outside to protect from the weather ... which in turn helped keep that side of the trailer warmer. Am still here, off and on.

  • 350 watts isn't much for hill assistance. From what I read 500 watt was the minimum for moderate, rolling hills. 750 watts is as that maximum allowed legally on most streets & of course most recommended.
  • As long as the basement doesn't flood or you get a break in the water/sewage line it should survive.

  • The post wasn't about my phone, apps, or whatever. Was about an alternative charging solution that was recently introduced. I decided to share the idea in case others were interested.
  • Was no other affordable alternative. No matter what type of vehicle a person gets, they always want to upgrade it to get more performance, or customize to their surroundings and likes. Dealers. The only that I've been in contact with knew far …
  • Have a Mirrycle mirror on each side, mounted on the ends of the Versa Bar. Have them adjusted fairly tight, yet still a tad loose. That way if I do run into something like a garbage can or bush the mirror twists - instead of breaking. These mirr…
  • We're sure getting a lot of rain in Idaho this year. Storms must be coming from the southern areas as we warm up to the 50's & 60's. Northern Idaho & Montana seen snow already, down here it's been wet. Looks like it will be a late snow this …
  • Problem about trying to keep posts on topic and in order is impossible. Seems everyone goes and derails the original post and runs away with it. God knows I've tried a few times to keep things in topic for someone else to come along and derail it wi…
  • From my understanding, not all seats got the pocket.
  • Colder weather reduces battery capacity, and more so as the colder temperatures persist. Once the battery gets warmer (indoors) the battery capacity comes back to normal. Depending, of course, on what metal/chemical type of batteries you have. Yo…
  • Any fold lumps on either side of the seat ends - the areas that touch the back of the thighs? The OEM folds create large lumps that dig into the back of the thighs, making it uncomfortable for some of us larger in life folks.
  • Duct tape a couple of Harbor Freight $3 LED lights to your riding shoes. Cheaper.
  • Damn. Now I see why the rich people flock to the southern areas in the Northern Winter months. Mostly rain here in this part of Idaho. Time to break out the trainer & see if I can practice the mandolin while pedaling in place.
  • Glad to hear that TT took charge of the situation, and that you're out enjoying the EVO(lution) again! Please keep us updated.
  • Y'all should start a new thread, Winter is coming! Here in this part of Idaho it's been wet, and in the 40's to 50's. Not gotten out to ride in a few weeks. Wanted to go out last week but I got a gift at Walmart that's had me hacking and coughing…
  • Are there any seat warmer inserts available, for winter riding, that run off small (light-weight) power packs?
  • What's the latest, Mr. @chonk ? Snow/ice kits for trikes??
  • Not having that issue with Slime tubes. LBS had mixed their own version of slime/sealant which I think was thinner in viscosity. He probably did that cause of this area being prominent in goat-head thistles. Say, did you say you wanted some of th…
  • Yeah, probably need to replace the right brake lever assembly. When it's turn in all the way it is still good, but the lock ring is junk. Those lock rings never stay tightened, coming loose from mere road vibration. The left brake lever is good,…
  • Will have to measure the main tube width of the Powers Rover Post. Thanks for the link! Nylon mounts for the Bontrager Flares are working out good. If they were only a tad more height (1/2") would be able to mount the Flares up higher on an angl…

  • Minoura Camera Mount took a month to arrive from Japan. Got that about a month ago and only recently had mounted it on the Versa Bar. Am quite surprised how well it does. Above the Versa Bar it catches part of the mirror and has an interesting ef…
  • Tried adjusting them again. Still a tad too tight, and the right cable housing is not a tight fit - the cable pops in and out a quarter of an inch when braking or releasing. That means the cable housing is too short. Probably from the thigh resting …
  • Have your tried SPD-SL? Thought about going that route, or a wider pedal with an SPD inside. Wished Specialized would of kept up with the Biopace chainrings. Lack of resources has kept me from trying them.
  • Walmart has twin packs that are cheaper than buying two separate packs. So I bought two twin packs so have a spare to carry as well. Never know. The valve stems seem to be a lot sturdier as well. Not noticed any traveling to one side either like …
  • Bought Slime tubes and using Slime branded blue caps, and not nearly losing as much air as with the tubes that came with the trike. These tubes might lose 5 pounds in a month. I still check the tubes before a ride but lately, even after a week+ the…

  • Know a guy that bought chain from Utah Trikes for a bit more expecting the chains to of been connected. Since then he's ordered from Amazon. Guess no one seems chain in bulk anymore.
