  • A 28-38-48 Front Chain ring will do that (cheap). You could spend a few more bucks and put a shifter on it but not necessary just to try. You simply grasp the chain tube and shift the chain onto the bigger/smaller chain ring. A $35/15 min upgrade …
  • 20 vs 30 speed has nothing to.do a top speed of bike. Look at the gear inches. A 20 sp could have exact top and low speed as 30. A 24 in rear wheel w 48t front will give you a top speed over 20 mph if you can pedal skustained that hard. Many 2 wheel…
  • So now that EVO Rambler is working properly, how is it performing in hilly country? I mean good steep longer grades. Appreciate a candid review.
  • Perhaps you can look at a smaller front chain ring to keep your cadence up or multi speed front gear box, or smaller rear wheel. Good luck
  • I have BBSO2B and have reprogrammed the settings to my taste. I have derated the settings as not interested in speed. Has lots of umph...more than I generally need. Mostly running flat country, but when i am in the hills I draw up to 500 watts where…
  • Battery connector intermittent? Clips in battery adjust, beND to grip prongs on cord to motor? Cover w vaseline. Drove me crazy until diagnosed. Also used straps w velcro to GUARANTEE battery cannot wiggle in quick release base Heavy enough wire f…
  • Had same issue intermittent on Rover. Generally corrected by giving a flush in the brake pad area with a nozzle on the garden hose. Just let it dry out after.
  • As long as there are no snowbanks go for it! Be there in a couple of weeks. rain and snow now three days running YUCK!
  • Check your cadence. Faster cadence is easier on the legs/joints and may help to build up endurance and speed or perhaps you would find e-assist up your alley. GT may be faster potential for stronger legs but think getting more speed could be acheive…
  • In the picture which washers are you referring to? If you mean the two "thickish" washers on the vertical stud with the head just behind the brake cable slack adjuster: They are conical washers on one side that are used to properly align the caliper…
  • Summer Definitely Over! Does this look like the white sand beaches of PCB, Fl? https://photos.app.goo.gl/ui9RX9UKimfEVy2l1
  • Mine located on left steering arm. Only have a short cord from lcd to control pad. Used an adapter I got someplace. Memory? Take a look at picts on my blog. Www.bentonabudget.blogspot.com
  • On my Rover placing the battery behind the front seat distributed the weight of the BBSO2 installation nearly equally. Granted different on a tandem. Behind seat, out of way.
  • You can buy 8 speed cassettes w a 40 tooth low cog (i.e.,Sunrace 8-speed 11-40T wide ratio MTB cassette freewheel CSM680 with rear derailleur extender by JGbike). If your normal is 30 or 32T low this will really drop your g.i.s for that extra power …
  • Summer is definitely over, although I was beginning to wonder. It was nearly 80F on Friday and just above freezing today, Monday. The winds have been howling everyday, and the forecast is to below freezing by the weekend. Finished that maintenance o…
  • Instead of putting the battery at the back, look at putting it behind the pilot seat. Wont have the current loss that way. Just a suggestion. Look at mine here: www.bentonabudget.blogspot.com
  • Think I would be talking directly to TT Tech. URGENTLY!
  • eassist is the answer! Up a level and peddle on grinning!
  • Sprocket teeth simply wear out and eventually the chain will jump especially if matched new. Chain & worn sprocket. Will decrease life of new chain. Generally quite noticeable on the cassette sprocket you use the most i.e. the 11t is most pron…
  • Not only chain but rear cassette as well. If it saw a lot of use/abuse as a rental unit could be worn. Easy to check by looking at and inexpensive to change. A few bucks vs 100s for the BBSHD. The chainring on the BBSHD will not like a stretched ch…
  • Amen!
  • Been running Schwalbe Big Ben FS W Race Guard on front oy Rover for last 1k w hd tubes at 35 40 lbs. Great suspension and handling, and less pressure loss than stock, cheap tubes. Have eassist so weight not an issue. Tires hum a bit but not annoying…
  • Sounds like you need to take up some slack on the brake cables down at the calipers not the adjusters on the handles. TT University has a video on brakes adjusting
  • There was a post somewhere on a Rover that showed a boom modified/bent to give more ground clearance. Required a chain idler to clear seat bottom, I believe. Sorry can't remember where or when.
  • Have a Bell wireless display that I mounted above my Luna eassist controller display but there was interference from the controller. Bell worked when I moved it to the bottom bend of the handlebar where I can still see it and it now works. I just …
  • Have a Bafang BBSO2 w 13.5ah Giant from Luna on my Rover Have not had any unresolved issues. The kit performs very well. They are located in NA and have parts and service HERE! Read Karl Gesslein articles here: https://electricbike-blog.com/. Not sa…
  • So is it the shifter or the brake locking pins that are rattling?
  • Still a few kph short of liftoff finn88. May try if. I get into some of that Finland aquavit
  • Yep. Red Neck Riviera, midNov. Let you know
  • Seat height is definite plus for me. Tried getting in and out of several Cats and just can't hack it. Rover 2016 has taken me over 10,000 kms and does not feel 'tippy' to me, although I have taken two minor low speed spills through my own stupidity.
